INTRO:  For the last 4 Sundays we’ve looked at “the faces around the manger. 

Mary 

Joseph 

The Shepherds, 

And then this morning, we looked at those who weren’t invited.  

But tonight, we finally look at the One who is at the center of every Nativity scene.  The one that even the cows and sheep are staring at.  JESUS! 

1. He really came! 
2. There are those who would call His birth, His life, His death, and His Resurrection a fairy tale.   
3. Something made up by a group of unscrupulous people who wanted to start a religion. 
4. But the life of Jesus is the best documented event in ancient history. 
5. No historical event before the invention of the printing press was ever recorded about in as great a detail. 
6. Prophecy….  
7. About His coming 
8. About the circumstances of His birth. 
9. Details of His life 
10. And His Death. 

1. He came as a baby! 
2. Jesus experienced life in every way we do. 
3. No longer could someone look to the sky and say “God, you just don’t understand!  You’ve never been through the things I’ve been through!” 
4. In all of that life, He remained sinless. 
5. Even though He came to earth and was fully human, Jesus still retained His Character; the character of God! 
6. Hate for sin. 
7. Love for sinners. 

1. He came to be our King! 
2. We have been given the choice of whether to accept His Lordship over us. 
3. But someday, we will acknowledge Him, like it or not! 

1. He is the King, forever! 
2. His reign is eternal! 
3. We will live eternally! 
4. Either as a part of His Kingdom. 
5. Or, as outcasts from it! 
6. The choice is ours.
