NOTES FROM BILLY

May 2026

Greetings, fellow worshippers ...

A few weeks ago, I experienced a vasovagal syncope episode. In other words, I had a fainting episode, much like some have with the sight of blood, or needles, intense pain, worry, stress, or really surprising news.  It is kind of like your body has a “dramatic” response or is “over-reacting”, (imagine, me – dramatic). I learned that these episodes are not uncommon, however, one of the health worries is what could happen to you when you fall. I was fortunate to have only a few sore spots from my fall.

I have never experienced it before, and I was fortunate to have only a few sore spots from my fall. I’m doing great, and on the mend from that experience. But I have to say that waking up on the bathroom floor can cause a bit of worry and made me think.

Worry is one of the greatest weapons Satan has against followers of Christ. And this worry is like a ninja sneaking in and attacking when you least expect it, bringing along its team of stress, doubt, fear, discouragement – all of which can affect your physical health, your mental health, your relationships ... and, yes, even your worship.

Don’t let the enemy sneak in and cause you so much worry that you have a spiritual vasovagal syncope (or fainting) episode. Here’s a 3-step process for peace right out of the Bible to encourage you:

“ ... do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

*DON’T WORRY* ... *PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING* ... *BE THANKFUL* ...

I hope this encourages you as it encourages me ...

                                     ✌ & ❤️ - peace and love …   Billy

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.”

Psalm 100
