NOTES FROM BILLY

July 2025

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and        acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”   Romans 12:1

“… a living sacrifice.” Here in this passage, we have the Apostle Paul encouraging us to be just that. This is different than the one-time sacrificial acts of the Old Testament. Paul is saying that, as followers of Christ, we need to live a life of service to God, a life pleasing to God, a life of continual sacrifice to God – while still alive.

Friends, this is our job. This is why we are here, why we are alive … to put ourselves on the altar, to offer our best to God. Our worship is not just a Sunday morning activity, but should be a way of life. To be an offering – whether it’s an action, feeling, opinion, a song, a comment – EVERYTHING. Every aspect of our lives should be offered to God as an act of worship.

I encourage you to encourage me to take this passage to heart. To pray on it, to memorize it, to challenge yourself with it, to encourage others with it. And most of all, present yourself, your worship, and your life as an offering.

✌🏼❤️ - peace and love …    Billy
