NOTES FROM BILLY

February 2026

Love commands ...  The Word of God is pretty clear about Love Commands for those who follow Christ.  Below, I have listed a few Bible verses as reminders that we should be putting into use daily, in fact, always ... and NOT just during the gift giving, card passing, candy sharing Valentine season:

πŸ’• β€œBe devoted to one another in brotherly love.  Honor one another above yourselves.” Romans 12:10

πŸ’• β€œLet no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.” Romans 13:8

πŸ’• β€œDo everything in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14

πŸ’• β€œNow that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.” 1 Peter 1:22

πŸ’• β€œFinally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.” 1 Peter 3:8

πŸ’• β€œAbove all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8

πŸ’• β€œDear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 3:18

πŸ’• β€œBeloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.  No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us.” 1 John 4:11-12

And don’t forget the Jesus’ Love Commands:

πŸ’• β€œ ... And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: β€˜You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31

πŸ’• β€œA new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”    John 13:34-35

πŸ’• β€œIf you love me, you will obey what I command.” John 14:15

πŸ’• β€œThis is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.  Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.  You are my friends if you do what I command you.  No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.  You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.  These things I command you, so that you will love one another.” John 15:12-17

Jesus is LOVE.  God is LOVE.  You are a result of that Divine love.  Love God and worship Him with everything you have - heart, mind, soul, and strength – and love each other with the same love Jesus showed us.  The greatest kind of love!  So go out and love!
