Greetings, fellow worshippers ...
I really love our times of worship, and what a joy it is to worship with you often. To be able to worship together with you in prayer, to hear and read message from God’s Word, to share in communion, and to rejoice and praise God in song, and to express our love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Some close their eyes, some raise their hands, some clap, some sway, some even dance in the aisle. It is amazing, intimate, passionate, and encouraging.
That also encourages me to refine my personal worship time and strive to make my worship of God when we are together reflect the way I worship when we are not together. I find that by making the time to spend intentional time on my personal, intimate worship experiences that it can lead to greater group worship experiences. Even Jesus took time for personal worship:
“And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, He departed and went out
to a desolate place, and there He prayed.” Mark 1:35
Spending time in personal Bible Study, prayer, song, dance, whatever, should be about the worship of the Creator of all things – at all times.
Some of my most intimate worship experiences happen while I prepare for worship; when it is just me, my Bible, and my guitar. Spending time reading and comparing scriptures, praying, and researching song lyrics. Sometimes reading about, and singing to an audience of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit can lead to a convicting, cleansing, and emotional personal worship time.
So, I pray that these words encourage you to build your personal worship time intentionally and intimately, so you can really rejoice and worship when we are together.

“O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh faints for You, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon You in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because Your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; in Your Name I will lift up my hands.” Psalm 63: 1-4
