“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6
When someone says or does something to encourage you, how do you feel? Good? And, how does it feel when you say or do something to encourage someone else? Great! It’s like by encouraging others, we encourage ourselves.
Encouragement doesn’t always come easy. The world already gives us enough pressure to criticize and complain. It is so easy to say or do something that can quickly discourage others. Often our discouragement is delivered without us even knowing we did it.
Christian, there is no room for discouragement in the church. The Church thrives on encouragement; Ministries thrive on encouragement; Fellow members thrive on encouragement. Remember Jesus, the one we are working for – we are working towards the same goals! Here are a few verses to encourage you to be the encourager the Bible encourages us to be:
“He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5: 10-11
This is a great one to keep in mind. Words of encouragement go so much further than we could even know. And, it makes others feel, well, encouraged.
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another —and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10: 23-25
We have no idea how much time we have on this earth, or with each other. As Christians, we need to use every opportunity to honor and encourage each other to walk in the fearless faith that the Lord has taught us. Represent the One you represent, Jesus, to those around you.

· 08.09.2025 - TACOS and TRIVIA: Join us at 5:00 pm that Saturday as we delve into Bible trivia and learn more about Jesus and encourage each other with tacos. Guess you could say we’re gonna “taco ‘bout Jesus”
· 08.17.2025 - RED HOT AUGUST (Wear Red To Church): What a fun Sunday to wear your red clothes and encourage each other
· 08.31.2025 - FIFTH SUNDAY FELLOWSHIP and MEAL: Come join us Sunday at 4:00 pm along with other area Christian Churches for this Great Night of Worship and Fellowship and Food – you’ll be glad you did. You will be as encouraged by this night, as we will be encouraged by you being here!
